The Open Doors Education Centre ODEC is under construction

This educational offer is unique in Swakopmund

Our core target groups are children and young people in Swakopmund whose families do not have the means to finance a full school education for them. The offer is tailored to the situation in the neighbouring DRC township. 

ODEC's services:

• 2 kindergartens
• Homework help and library
• Care and education for children without a school place
• Vegetable garden and environmental education
• IT centre
• Further education and awareness courses
• Women's empowerment workshop
• Community centre

In October 2022, the Foundation's Board of Directors was able to get to know beautiful Namibia. Members of the partner association "Tangeni Shilongo Namibia" showed us Swakopmund, the desert, many sights and of course the construction site of the ODEC.
